Bio
Nicole’s love of pattern and colour were sparked at a young age when her family moved to Africa and then Arabia for six years, as well as travelled around parts of Europe. Her high school years were spent on the prairies in Alberta. Her introduction to jewellery while working at a bead shop in Calgary led her to her first studies in Jewellery Techniques at Vancouver Community College. Nicole then moved to Nelson, BC, where she took Jewellery and Small Object Design at the Kootanay School of the Arts and where she still resides. Nicole now travels each year to areas that are highly inspirational and rich in culture. She prefers Asia for this reason. Drawing from the amazing diversity she encounters, Nicole creates wearable art pieces that quickly become personal favourites.
